Open Hack

Our February Open Hack filled nearly every seat. People brought their computers, and the evening drew a wide mix of groups for hands-on work. The organizer debrief called it one of our biggest gatherings to that point, with enough pizza to match the crowd.

It also gave us useful lessons for the next Open Hack: make it easier to see what people are working on, introduce projects at the start, and help newcomers find people to work or talk with. A full room creates plenty of opportunities; clearer introductions can help people make the most of them.
